Kuala Lumpur first day....second day

Just awoke from a deep 14 hour sleep in hot and sweaty Kuala Lumpur. Arrived at 3am yesterday 14 hours after checking in at Auckland, and found myself too tired to sleep at all during the day. Managed to find groceries and a yummy plate full of buffet chosen curries and rice for less than $3 at a local eatery. I am going to get addicted to the local rich, deeply flavoured coffee poured into a mug over a quarter inch of sweet condensed milk. Main downside has been the humid heat ( like being in a sauna ). My tablet said it was 35 degrees but feels like 40 degrees ( their words not mine ). Iḿ not sure if I will be exploring or surviving over the next few days. Will keep in touch....

Cornflakes with milk and sliced banana with a strong cup of tea started off a much better second day ( grocery shopping the day before paid off )
Feeling more like myself I decided to use my head today and head out to see a couple of the attractions before it got too damned hot then head back about midday to cool off in my airconditioned room until later in the day. I am staying just across the road from an LRT station at a place called Setiawangsa , which is only a 10 minute and 75 cents trainride to KLCC where the Petronus Twin Towers sit in the midst of several High end shopping malls. It was early enough to walk around the park in the shade of the trees and I took several shots of the lake. After the shops opened at 10am I walked around a couple of the malls which gave me an appetite and so I settled for an early lunch at a bloody Subway of all places. They had a deal where a 6 inch sub with a choc chip cookie and a coffee was only $4.20 and I just had to try it. I have been looking everywhere for a hat to stop me getting sunstroke so took another short train ride to Petaling Street Chinese markets where I picked one up for 30 MYR or $10 ( He wanted 50 MYR to begin with but I think we ended up with a win/win because he didn´t seem to bothered about dropping to 30 MYR ). By 12.30 it was starting to warm up to about 32 degrees, so I was glad to head back and cool down in my room...
